New to the UK market; Gardeners insulated garden suit
Suitable for all outdoor workers who need to remain totally warm and comfortable
in all cold or inclement weather conditions
C Bear has just finished winter trials of the new gardeners suit.
This suit is made of the best quality Thinsulate material and is designed for the serious
gardener or professional horticultural worker. Anyone who needs to be out of doors, no matter what the weather conditions, but needs to remain warm and dry would benefit from this new clothing
range.
Tested under extreme conditions.
C Bear are currently UK manufacturers of insulated diving suits, for the sports and
serious professional diver. Founded in 1996, C Bear are the only UK manufacturer of these unique under suits using the best type of material Type C Thinsulate.
Current diving suits, worn under an outer dry suit, allow the diver to remain underwater in the
coldest of temperatures and at the same time allow full movement and mobility. The diving versions are currently sold extensively in the UK via specialist diving retailers, and have for many years
proved themselves in the most demanding conditions.
Winter 2003 garden trials.
All garden suits are manufactured of Thinsulate Type C material (produced by 3M Company), the
most efficient thermal material on the market, easily outperforming even pure duck down on weight for weight comparison. As the Thinsulate layer is compressed so it forms a very thin layer, the
material provides tremendous warmth with minimum bulk, which occurs with no other product. These suits have been trialled over this winter in various Cornish garden locations, under all weather
conditions, to great success.
Three Seasons wearability.
They are designed for the gardener who wishes to spend time out of doors in the Autumn, Winter
and Spring. They allow the gardener to undertake both strenuous and sedentary activities, over long periods if desired, yet remaining warm and comfortable in any conditions.
Two uses.
They are specifically for the serious gardener who spends long periods out of doors and is
accustomed at present to dressing with many layers of bulky clothing which may not perform thermally at all times and often is the cause of lack of mobility.
Also ideal for the amateur or older gardener who may be relatively inactive for periods of time,
who feels the cold quickly, or just wants to feel warm at all times whatever the elements throw at them, yet wishes to remain out of doors or in a greenhouse, shed etc.
Features.
The suits come in a wide variety of sizes for men and women. They are one piece with a full
frontal zip, which allows varying levels of ventilation if strenuous activity is being undertaken. There are accompanying gloves and booties to give total thermal protection.
They are produced in two colours, grey or black with a green shoulder flash.
The suits are fully washable, abrasive resistant, feature sewn in full knee and elbow pads and
are fully water and wind resitant. They are produced with an outer layer of Tactel, with Thinsulate Type C middle layer and an inner fleece layer, to wick away any perspiration.
They can be worn with light clothing underneath or ideally with only underwear underneath as the
comfortable wicking fleece makes the whole garment feel instantly warm and comfortable. No other clothing is required for the majority of weather conditions. Even in the most extreme of conditions a
lightweight waterproof shell is all that is needed to provide total extreme weather protection.
Unique service offer - an option to consider.
There is an option of a "bespoke service" to have each garment tailor made, just like a Saville
Row suit, for those with non standard body shapes. This means any gardener can achieve a perfect fit whatever their shape. Each suit can even have the owners name, logo or comical phrase
attached.
Disabled gardeners
The suits are the perfect garment - easy to put on and remove and giving total protection to the
sedentary user.
Currently these suits are sold as unique high performance products giving optimum performance in
any conditions, and as such need to be marketed as the ultimate solution for anyone who wants to be in a cold or windy environment yet wants total mobility without bulk. which lets face it
happens to all gardeners.
Retail prices are currently in the region of £150 per suit, with a £30 premium if
the suit is to be bespoke manufactured.
